Head coach of Ghana’s Olympic team Malik Jabir says the windy nature of Mozambique aided them to post a surprise 1-0 win against his side.

Malik Jabir, named a strong side which included Italy based Rahman Chibsah for the game but ended up on the losing side despite creating numerous scoring opportunities.

“I am surprised by the way the goal went in because it was an own goal and you needed to see it but I think the wind played a big role in the goal,” Jabir told Accra based Citi FM

“We have moved straight into camping upon arrival in Ghana and we know what is expected of us and we will do all we can to make it to the All Africa games.”

The scoreline leaves Ghana in tricky position with qualification for the All African games hanging on the balance.

But both teams played with the wind so you could have also taken advantage of it.
