EXCLUSIVE: Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan flies out to Al Ain for showdown talks ahead of mega-move to China
Asamoah Gyan left Accra on Monday evening alongside his brother Baffour

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan left Accra on Monday evening to Dubai where he will hold showdown talks with officials of Al Ain over his move to Shanghai SIPG, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Black Stars captain prematurely ended his vacation and left for the UAE in the company of his elder brother Baffour Gyan, manager Samuel Anim Addo and four other acquaintances, Ghana's leading soccer news website can exclusively reveal.

Gyan will hold final talks with officials of Al Ain to know for sure whether indeed they have accepted the mega offer made by the Chinese big-spenders, following the news of the move exclusively revealed by GHANAsoccernet.com on Monday.

The agent who brokered Asamoah Gyan’s deal from Sunderland to Al Ain Claudio Vagheggi is combining forces with Johan Eriksson – the son of Shanghai SIPG coach Sven-Goran Eriksson – to make a joint presentation to Al Ain on Tuesday on behalf of the Chinese club.

An agreement worth a transfer fee in the region €20m has been struck behind the scenes before Tuesday’s tripartite meeting between Gyan, the agents involved – representing Shanghai SIPG - and Al Ain officials.

Gyan is expected to get the blessing and receive the all-clear from members of the Al Ain board to make the trip to China where he is expected to undergo a medical and be unveiled as the latest big name signing of Shanghai SIPG on Wednesday afternoon.

Gyan per GHANAsoccernet.com sources are negotiating to receive a staggering weekly wage in excess of $350,000 before the move to Shanghai SIPG is complete.

The Chinese are seeking to pay $300,000 which is $50,000 more than what he earns at Al Ain.

The Ghana striker has been an immense success since joining Al Ain in 2011 first on an initial season-long loan spell from Sunderland before making the move permanent the season after for a combined £13m fee.
