Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has slammed German side Schalke as 'liars' and accused the Bundesliga club of battering his reputation after he was handed an indefinite suspension following last week’s defeat to Cologne.

Schalke explained they had lack of faith in the Ghana international and decided to freeze him at the club.

But Boateng is allowed to train with the Gelsenkirchen club an offer he has declined.

However, the Ghana international is not happy by the way he has been treated and painted black.

"I'm not going to drop down to the level of these people who say things about me and spread rumours," he told Sport Bild magazine.

"The fact I am now, in hindsight, being made out to be a bad person speaks for itself. But everything that is being conveyed by the media is lies."

Boateng feels hurt by the way he has been treated by the club after his meaningful contributions the months past giving his all during

"I will not say a bad thing about anybody," said the 28-year-old. "For two years I've put my head on the block in public for everything - really everything.

"Everything was always played out in public via me, and by doing this I took a lot of pressure off the club, my team-mates and those in charge, and they made good use of this.

"It is very sad the way my time with Schalke has ended. This was not my decision, but I accept it and respect it."
