Medeama suffered their second defeat on the road after losing 1-0 at WAFA on match day-5 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
WAFA, rooted at the bottom of the table scored the decisive goal six minutes from time courtesy Mumuni Zakaria to hand the home side the much-needed victory.
Antwi Martin could have put WAFA ahead as early as the second minute after they were awarded a penalty but Antwi Martin’s kick was saved by goalkeeper Foli Adade twice.
The defeat will be depressing for Medeama coach Tom Strand who was hoping to continue his adventure in a blistering fashion.
For WAFA, the narrow win is a massive respite after stuttering on their return to the Ghanaian top-flight.
