Ghana Premier League: Match Report- Wa All Stars envelop Hasaacas with 3-1 defeat
Wa All Stars

Three first half goals were enough for Wa All Stars to clinically dispatch Sekondi Hasaacas 3-1 at home on Wednesday in the Ghana Premier League.

A killer defence-splitting pass from Yakubu Wadud set up Emmanuel Gyamfi for the game’s opener in the 9th minute.

The home side should have been up earlier when the same combination teed up Richard Arthur, only for the attacker to blaze the ball high and wide.

If the first goal destabilized Yussif Basigri’s team, then Asuandzie Kwaku Baffoe’s rocket literally obliterated them.

It was a composed finish within the 16-yard almost tore apart the yawning net of George Owu in post for the western giants.

The dominant nature of the home team make mockery of the score line though, as Wa Allstars keep wasting chances for fun.

A predatory strike from the lethal boot of Stephen Nyarko on the stroke of half time killed the game as a contest.

The second half started hopefully for Basigi’s puzzled side, as the created chances after chances.

It was however highlighted by the away side’s protest on the eligibility of Wadud.

The match was heading for a 3-0 score line, until Kojo Opoku kept his composure to give his side some fighting chance with 15 minutes remaining.
