Ghana players get red carpet reception after AFCON silver feat
Ghana players arriving from Equatorial Guinea

Ghana players arrived home on Monday afternoon to a heroes welcome despite failing to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars were met at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra by hundreds of fans who were impressed with the team’s display in Equatorial Guinea.

Ghana overcame an opening 2-1 defeat to Senegal to reach the final of the tournament and missed out on lifting the trophy after losing 9-8 on penalties to Ivory Coast.

Majority of the players are expected to fly out to join their European clubs on Tuesday night for the rest of the season.

Good job, is about time coaches restore confidence in Asamoah Gyan to start taking penalty kicks in Ghana matches, he does it very well in his team.Messi has lost penalty kicks, but he is still kicking and scoring.

asamoah is not a good leader, he cowardly asked for substitution instead of him to prove his critics wrong he rather decided to run and save his face anyway I'm proud of the stars, this team must be maintained but my problem is goalkeeping department the coaches must work on it

A heroes welcome is more deserving. Now, get a keeper who can stop penalties. Also, your best penalty kickers should always kick first. Congratulations!
