Could Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris be Manchester United's next January signing?
Abdul Majeed Waris

Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu has revealed that multiple English clubs have make contact for Ghanaian international Abdul Majeed Waris.

Manchester United have frequently been linked with a move for the £5million-rated winger, and scouts are even reported to be monitoring his progress.

Waris has been named in Ghana's African Nations Cup squad, and also featured during their 2-1 defeat to Portugal in last year's World Cup.

Haciosmanoglu hinted that the 23-year-old could leave the club in the summer, and the inference is that United may be his destination.

He said: "Lille and a few English clubs are interested in signing Waris.

"Lille were also interested in Waris before we signed him. However a player cannot play for three different clubs in one season so he will have to wait until the end of the season.

"We know Manchester United are monitoring him too."

Waris only signed for the Turkish side in September 2014 for £4.2m - but could already be manoeuvring a move away from the Super Lig.

Warris don't waste your time going to Man Utd. You will only go and warm the bench.

At the moment, no Ghanaian player merits playing for Man Utd because they are just average. How many of Ghanaian players are playing in the top leagues and are in the first five on their league tables? The French league is nothing to write about, so do not say Dede is playing in a top club. What are the positions of Lorient and Evian? The Scottish league is overshadowed by the EPL, Afriyie Acquah's Parma is languishing in the bottom of Serie A, Jeff Schulpp's Leicester is at the bottom of the EPL while Senegalese, Algerian and Ivorian players are commanding high transfer fees. It will take the Black Stars something extra to win any major tournament.

Is Kwadwo Asamoah 5 players? He is not even part of the team now.

Ghana is not doing well internationally in terms of players abroad.Let us support our local league to get us there.Let us make a fresh start.Kwadwo Asamoah is deployed at left back.He is voted best left back in serie A and made the team of the year but his talent is being wasted. He is just being used while others shine in the middle.I prefer him in midfield.Meanwhile Muntari is now old and disgracing himself.Avram will be vindicated for not picking.Discipline has been our problem.Essien is another old one.It is a shame these latter day ageing stsrs did not retire on a good note or going towards the twilight of their careers gracefully.Lack of commitment and low patriotis..Guess it starts from the top.Let us hope Spurs sign our future captain Dede.Tired of his transfer rumours.Looking forward to this years local league.Hopefully one of the best

Harry, jimmy didn't ask for 5 players , he said no Ghanaian is playing in the European top league and their team in the top 5 . Even though he's injured right now but u can't tell me he's not good enough for Manchester United
