Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey took time to hang out with rising Portuguese star Tiago Almeida ahead of his Portland unveiling in February.
Kwarasey, 27, turned down an opportunity to represent Ghana at the ongoing Africa cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea following an unending dispute with the goalkeeper’s trainer of the national team.
The former Stromgodset shot-stopper accused Black Stars goalkeeper trainer of lacking the requisite skill to train national team goalkeepers and also accused then Coach Kwesi Appiah of kowtowing to pressure from some members of the playing body to replace him at the last minute in Ghana’s world cup game against Germany.
He has since signed a lucrative deal with MLS side Portland Timbers after seven years with Norwegian side Stromgodset.
The Norwaygian born Ghanaian took time out to see a basketball game in the U.S with pal Tiago Almeida ahead of his Portland Timber unveiling next month.
