Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara has revealed that tabs are being kept on emerging talents in solving the perceived goalkeeping crisis in the Black Stars.
A vast majority of Ghanaians have been relentless in their critique of the fallen quality of goalkeepers within the senior national team.
They believe the likes of Fatau Dauda in particular has done very little to merit his continued stay in the Black Stars team.
It is the reason why coach Avram Grant has been making efforts to have Adam Kwarasey return to the team.
But GFA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara adds that other options including goalkeepers at the junior levels are being closely monitored for future call-ups.
“The coach is looking at other goalkeepers even from the junior national teams,” Daara revealed on GTV’s Sunday Night Live.
“There are so many things happening behind the scenes that you might not know of so I urge that we remain patient with the coach in his team building process.”
Ghana U23 and U20 goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Lawrence Ati-Zigi have been particularly impressive in recent times - leading to calls to have them invited into the Black Stars in subsequent national team assignments.
