Ghana FA set Presidential elections for August 17 in Tamale
Incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi will run for a fourth term

The Congress to elect a new President for the Ghana FA has been set for August 17 in Tamale.

This decision was made at a meeting of the GFA’s Executive Committee on Wednesday at the GFA Headquarters in Accra.

The meeting agreed on a roadmap towards the election of a new President of the association.

Nominations for the post which will be made vacant following the expiration of the third four-year term of incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi will be officially opened on July 13 and will end four days later.

The submission of a report clearing prospective candidates after a vetting process will be made on July 27 with an appeal period set between 28-30th July.

A decision from the appeal process has been set for August 7 with the congress itself to elect a new GFA boss to take place 10 days later in Tamale.

Incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi has already expressed his desire to stand for a fresh four-year mandate at the upcoming congress.
