Embattled FIFA agent Christopher Forsythe has vowed to clear his name following the decision of the Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association to impose a three-year ban on him and revoke his license.
This will require he hands over his license and cannot be involved in any related activities.
Speaking in an interview with Accra based Atinka Fm he expressed shock on the what he described as “a verdict based on trivial evidence.”
““I will fight to clear my name because I have done nothing to deserve the punishment.
“I have referred everything to my lawyer and we will carry on from there.
“The Ethics committee watched a video on the internet and concluded on their investigations but I sent everything to FIFA and FIFA replied my letters so why did FIFA not ban me or revoke my licence,” he quizzed.
“If it’s my license they want I will hand it over to them personally because I no longer have interest in football, I will quit football and concentrate on my NGO work but first I will clear my name.
Christopher Forsythe a registered FIFA agent and CEO of Berekum Chelsea Obed Nketiah were apprehended by police after an investigation carried out by British Newspaper the Daily Telegraph uncovered an attempt by the two men to lure GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi to agree to rig friendly games played by the Black Stars.
