Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Edwin Gyasi scored his first pre-season goal for newly-promoted Dutch top-flight side Roda JC Kerkrade as they condemned FC Gulpen to 26-0 defeat on Saturday. 

Gyasi, 24, registered his name on the score-sheet with a brilliant 71st minute finish as the Yellows produced a glittering but coercive display to win the tie handsomely.

Roda are keen to maintain their status in the Dutch top-flight after returning from the wilderness and Gyasi, who joined from Heracles Almelo after leaving FC Twente via loan spells with De Graafschap.

Gyasi scored twice in 12 games in Roda's promotion campaign which saw his younger brother Raymond Gyasi joined as a loanee from AZ Alkmaar.

Though his uncapped by his country of birth and country of his parents, his brother Raymond has played once for the Ghana U23 side.
