Ghana attacker David Accam has rued his Chicago Fire loss against New York Red Bulls after they threw away a 2-0 lead to lose at the Red Bull Arena on Friday night.

The exciting Ghana international attacker, 24, scored an MLS goal of the season contender in the 26th minute after dancing his way through two Red Bulls defenders and sending the goalkeeper flat down his back.

After losing the maximum points at stake, the former Helsingborg IF star admits his side took their eyes off the game after jetting off to a comfortable lead.

"Its difficult to accept the loss but we stop playing after we score 2 goals and I think they deserve it," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Jeff Larentowicz converted a 13th minute penalty after Nigerian Kennedy Igboananike won the spot kick after he was tripped inside the box.

Fire piled the pressure on the host to score the second of the night and it arrived just at the 26th minute after a show of some delicious display of artistry and lightening-pace thrill.

Accam travelled to Rwanda with the Black Stars but was unused by Israeli tactician Avram Grant in the narrow victory over the Amavubis. But he feels good to have found the net after the international break.

"It feels good to score straight after the international break," he admitted.
