Ghana have all the required infrastructure and personnel to successfully host the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Magnus Rex Danquah.
Danquah, who is the secretary of Ghana's 2017 Bid Committee for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, is confident the Confederation of African Football will select Ghana to host the showpiece.
He feels they have all the elements in place to host the tournament, although Algeria, Egypt and Gabon are also in the running.
Gabon co-hosted the tournament in 2012, while Egypt were hosts in 2006, and Algeria staged the tournament in 1990.
And with presidential and parliamentary elections set to take place in 2016 question marks have been raised over whether Ghana would be a suitable choice.
However, Danquah is confident that hosting the 2017 edition of AFCON will help unite the people of Ghana
He told Ghana News Agency: "AFCON 2017 will rather unite the country and neutralise any tension that may have arisen as a result of the elections.
"I think hosting AFCON 2017 will come with a lot more benefits than we expect and we must all embrace the concept."
He added: "We have four stadiums that only need to be renovated and a new one is under construction at Cape Coast.
"We also have all the personnel who managed the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations still around and I have no doubt that CAF will take into considerations these factors and award Ghana the right to host the competition."
