The Ghana FA has presented a set of sporting equipment to the twelve (12) clubs in the National Women’s League.

The equipment which include jerseys, boots, shin guards (for 18 players), a pair of goalkeeper’s gloves, training bibs, 12 footballs and football bags were handed to the GFA from FIFA as part of efforts to develop the women’s game.

The presentation was made to the clubs in a ceremony at the GFA headquarters on Wednesday.

Chairperson of the National Women’s League Leanier Addy urged the beneficiary clubs to put the equipment to good use in order to develop women football in the country.

“FIFA gave us these equipment so as to develop women football and therefore we must make sure we put these items to good use for this aim to be achieved,” she said.

The beneficiary clubs include Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Fabulous Ladies, Prison Ladies, Ashtown Ladies, Lepo Ladies and Dreamz Ladies.

The remaining are Soccer Intellectuals, Lady Strikers, Hasaacas Ladies, Immigration Ladies, Police Ladies and Blessed Ladies.
