Gattuso: "We had to dig in for a win that gives us reassurance"

Gennaro Gattuso discussed the victory over Udinese on Sunday evening, which he stated "will give us extra reassurance for the remainder of the season. We were up against a well-organised and physical side. I regret the fact that we conceded a goal after being camped in their half for 23 minutes. We then gave everything to stage a comeback, so I'm pleased with the attitude. Unfortunately, there can be momentary losses of focus, because it's not normal in football to play every three days. We aren't robots".

"I don't think this team can be subjected to much criticism because of our results. Over the last two months, we've been doing really well and I'm grateful to the players for the commitment that they've been showing".

"I got angry in Bologna because I saw less organisation on the pitch. Today, however, I'm pleased with our performance and mentality."
