Futsal AFCON 2026: Algeria face Libya as Morocco take on Zambia

Published on: 14 October 2026

Algeria face Libya and hosts Morocco meet Zambia on Wednesday as the second round of Group A matches at the 2026 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations takes place in Rabat.

Both games will be played at the Prince Moulay-Abdellah Sports Palace on 14 October, with Algeria already under pressure after losing their opening fixture and Morocco looking to strengthen their position as tournament favourites.

Algeria’s match against Libya kicks off at 17:00 local time in Morocco, 18:00 in Algeria and 19:00 in France. The Fennecs were beaten 4-0 by Morocco in their first game, while Libya lost 3-1 to Zambia.

The result leaves Algeria with little room for error in their first appearance at a Futsal Africa Cup of Nations finals. Noureddine Benamrouche’s side must respond against the 2008 African champions before facing Zambia in their final group match on Friday.

Another defeat would seriously damage Algeria’s hopes of reaching the knockout stage. The tournament schedule provides the full list of kick-off times, results and the latest standings in Group A.

Morocco and Zambia will meet later in the day, with their game beginning at 20:00 in Morocco and 22:00 in France. Both sides have three points and occupy the top two places in the group after winning their opening matches.

Morocco began their defence of the title with a convincing 4-0 victory over Algeria, including a hat-trick from Youssef Jouad. They can move closer to the semi-finals by beating Zambia, while their opponents would also take a major step towards the last four with a second successive win.

The victor will move into outright first place in Group A and gain a significant advantage in the race for qualification.

Zambia are expected to provide a more ambitious test than Libya after their 3-1 success in the opening round. That result put them level with Morocco on three points and set up a decisive meeting between the leading teams.

Both matches will be shown live and free on CAF TV, the official YouTube channel of the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF). The Morocco-Zambia match will also be broadcast on Arryadia TNT.
