Fulham have opened “club to club” discussions with Eintracht Frankfurt over a possible move for Sweden midfielder Hugo Larsson.
The West London club are understood to be considering Larsson as a late-window addition, with talks now under way between the two clubs. The midfielder is also reportedly being monitored by Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
Eintracht Frankfurt are believed to value the 22-year-old at between €25m and €30m, a figure that could determine whether either Premier League side makes a formal offer before the transfer window closes.
Larsson enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the German club in 2024-25. He played 47 matches in all competitions and contributed six goals and two assists from his defensive midfield position.
That form was not maintained into last season, when Larsson started 21 of his 25 Bundesliga appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt. Despite the reduction in starts, his performances have been sufficient to keep him on the radar of clubs in England.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Fulham, managed by Alvaro Arbeloa, have now entered negotiations with Frankfurt about signing the Sweden international.
Fulham are looking to strengthen their options in central midfield. The club are understood to have limited depth beyond their current first-choice options, Alex Iwobi and Sander Berge, making Larsson a potential solution in that area.
Larsson’s ability to operate from a deeper midfield role is believed to be central to Fulham’s interest. His previous campaign in Germany provided evidence of his attacking contribution as well as his ability to feature regularly, while his more limited starting role last season has not ended interest in his services.
The reported talks represent an early step rather than confirmation that an agreement has been reached. Fulham must still negotiate a fee with Eintracht Frankfurt, who are willing to sell if their valuation of €25m-€30m is met.
Crystal Palace remain another possible destination for Larsson, with both Premier League clubs understood to have identified him as an option late in the transfer window. For now, however, Fulham have taken the lead in discussions by beginning direct negotiations with the German club.
