French club Angers are still interested in signing Nigeria striker Austin Amutu when the summer transfer window opens.
Hapoel Ironi Khriyat Shmona of Israel striker Amutu, who was recommended to the French team by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, told AfricanFootball.com that the club are still in touch and are still willing to sign him.
"Angers are still interested in signing me, they are always in touch and even spoke to my agent last week on the issue," Amutu told AfricanFootball.com
The former Warri Wolves forward, who had a brief stint with the Nigeria U23 team, has scored five goals for his Israeli club this season.
He has previously featured for Malaysian club FA Kelanta.
