Four football bets to consider on 3 October

Arthur Wandji, a sports betting expert and Cameroonian journalist, has selected four matches for a combined bet on 3 October, including Spain's meeting with the Czech Republic and England's fixture against Croatia.

Spain v Czech Republic – 18:45 GMT

Betting option: 2-0 score at some point in the match (odds: 1.32)

Spain have won both of their opening Nations League matches, including a 4-1 victory over Croatia. Lamine Yamal scored in each of those games and will again be part of an attacking side with the stronger recent momentum.

The Czech Republic have lost their first two matches and have conceded an average of two goals across their past five international fixtures. They will be without Pavel Sulc, who is suspended, and the injured Adam Karabec, while Ferran Torres is unavailable for Spain.

Spain have gone unbeaten in their past seven meetings with the Czech Republic. Given that record and the difference in attacking form, a 2-0 Spanish lead at some stage of the match is the selected outcome.

Croatia v England – 16:00 GMT

Betting option: Harry Kane to score (odds: 1.86)

Harry Kane remains England's main attacking reference after scoring against the Czech Republic and Spain in the team's previous two matches. The captain is expected to start despite a number of absences from the squad.

Nico O’Reilly, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice are among those unavailable for England. Croatia also have several defensive concerns, although no further details are specified.

Kane's attacking involvement and his position as England's first-choice striker underpin the selection for him to score.

Cote d'Ivoire v Cameroon – 19:00 GMT

Betting option: Cote d'Ivoire to win or draw, with fewer than 3.5 goals (odds: 1.41)

Cote d'Ivoire have recorded two successive 2-0 victories, while Cameroon have conceded in their recent matches against Congo, drawing 1-1, and Comoros, losing 3-1.

The meetings between the Elephants and the Indomitable Lions have generally produced low-scoring matches, with five head-to-head encounters finishing below 3.5 goals. Cote d'Ivoire have also stayed under that total in each of their past eight home matches.

Wilfried Singo and Amad Diallo are unavailable for Cote d'Ivoire, while Cameroon will be without Christian Kofane. The recent figures point towards a tight match, with Cote d'Ivoire considered the more likely side to avoid defeat.

Russia v Namibia – 15:00 GMT

Betting option: Russia to win more than 5.5 corners (odds: 1.40)

Russia, ranked 35th in the FIFA rankings, are favourites for this friendly. They have won their past three matches without conceding, beating Burkina Faso and Trinidad and Tobago 3-0 before a 2-0 victory over Iran.

Russia have averaged 7.5 corners per match recently and have won at least six corners in 70% of their past 10 fixtures. Namibia suffered a 1-0 defeat by Comoros in their most recent game and have offered limited attacking output.

Russia's corner totals, combined with the likelihood of territorial dominance, make the over 5.5 corners selection consistent with the available statistics.
