Former Hearts of Oak star Charles Allotey showed up at the residence of the demised Hearts of Oak coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio and got fans even worried.
Allotey, pictured above in African print cloth with a group of Hearts of Oak fans and former team-mate Jacob Nartey, seems to have battled illness for a long time but showed up to mourn his former coach.
The diminutive and influential midfielder played an instrumental role in Hearts of oak conquering the African continent in the year 2000 by winning the CAF champions league and the super cup and was part of 1995 national U-17 team that made Ghana proud by winning the world cup.
Allotey's situation once again highlights the plight of former local stars who are struggling to make ends meet in life and also reminds football circle of the welfare of professionals footballers after their career.
Former Hearts of Oak player Agyeman Duah also suffered similar fate.
