Former Ghana President John Kuffour is urging Hearts of Oak to recruit more young players in reviving their lost glory.
The Phobians have struggled to live up to their huge expectation in recent years.
The side however appears to be on the up under new coach Herbert Addo this season.
Hearts have struggled in the domestic league but strangely find themselves in the final qualification round in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Former Ghana President John Kuffour in suggesting ways for leading Ghanaian clubs to return to their best form says more youthful players must be employed.
“Hearts just like Kotoko is also not in its best of times. I don’t know whether it is a bit of ageing,” he said.
“But the good things about football clubs is that with good management they can recruit youngsters to come and recharge the tiring old people who are there.
“This should be a function of management to ensure a sustained blend between experienced and youthfulness.
“Because whether you like it or not soccer now has I think has about more than 50 percent of vigour, energy.
“And when you are ageing you may have all the smartness but energy doesn’t tend to be quite a feature of ageing.”
