The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are set to discover their group stage opponents for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile on Thursday, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

The draw ceremony, taking place in Santiago, will pit 24 teams against each other in six groups of four.

Nigeria qualified for the tournament after finishing third in the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup earlier this month under the guidance of coach Aliyu Zubairu.

The Flying Eagles have been placed in Pot 1 alongside New Zealand, France, Ukraine, Argentina, and Mexico.

The U-20 World Cup kicks off on September 27 and runs until October 19.

The draw will determine Nigeria's path to the knockout stages and ultimately, the coveted title.
