French club Stade de Reims have completed the signing of Nigeria Under-20 forward Abdoulaye Agbejoye from Grassrunners FC Academy, according to Completesports.com.
The 18-year-old striker will join the French side’s academy, where he is expected to continue his development and work towards earning an opportunity with the first team.
Agbejoye was part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad for the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship in Cote d’Ivoire. His move to France follows an outstanding season at youth level, during which he established himself as one of the leading young forwards in Nigerian football.
Playing for Grassrunners FC Academy, Agbejoye finished the last campaign as both the leading scorer and the best player in the Nigerian Youth League Cup. He scored 19 goals in 19 appearances, a return that strengthened his reputation as one of the country’s most promising attacking talents.
The transfer also continues a growing relationship between Stade de Reims and Grassrunners FC Academy. Agbejoye is the latest Nigerian player from the academy to move to the French club.
Stade de Reims recently signed another Grassrunners FC Academy graduate, Godwin Itotomi, who is also Nigerian.
Agbejoye’s arrival gives Stade de Reims another young attacking player to develop within their academy structure, while offering the forward the opportunity to continue his progress in French football.
His performances for Grassrunners FC Academy, combined with his involvement with the Flying Eagles, helped attract attention before the move was completed. The striker will now begin the next stage of his career in France, with the long-term aim of progressing through the Stade de Reims system.
