Nigeria U-20 Women's National team kick-started their FIFA Women's World Cup campaign with a slim win over Korea Republic on Monday morning, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Flourish Sebastian scored a late goal to give the Falconets a 1-0 win over Korea at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogota, Columbia.

After a slightly dominated half by the Nigerian girls, the Koreans came close to breaking the deadlock after hitting the woodwork from a free-kick at additional time.

The Koreans had momentum in the second half as they looked to break the deadlock.

However, the Falconets got the goal as Sebastian squared the ball from the right-hand corner into the net to give Nigeria maximum points in the 86th minute.

The Falconets will play table toppers, Germany on Wednesday at 11 pm in Bogota.
