Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko admits the road to recovery has been difficult but 'cant wait' for next season.
The 27-year-old, who plays for Turkish Super League side Eski?ehirspor, is 100% fit after enduring a tortuous one-year spell on the sidelines.
It's exactly a year since the former Heart of Lions strong centre-back suffered a career threatening injury during the Black Stars pre-World Cup friendly against Holland.
The defender took to social media website facebook and twitter to express his appreciation to his club, family and fans after a difficult 12-months.
“Today marks exactly one year since that evening in Rotterdam. On 29.05.15 I made my long awaited return by taking a place on the bench in our final Super Lig game," he wrote on his page
“It’s been a long road to recovery but thank God I’m now 100%. Special thanks to my family & friends not forgetting you the fans. You’ve all been a source of strength. Can’t wait for next season ?#?JAKA is back!!!
