Lazio secured a vital 2-0 win over Genoa in a rescheduled Serie A fixture on Wednesday, snapping a three-match winless streak. With the victory, Lazio are now level on 59 points with Juventus, who dropped points in a 1-0 loss to Parma, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was benched for the match, which saw Genoa reduced to 10 men after Sebastian Otoa received a straight red card in the 21st minute for denying Mattia Zaccagni a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

Lazio capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Taty Castellanos scoring a brilliant volley in the 32nd minute to give them the lead. Boulaye Dia sealed the win in the second half, scoring in the 65th minute.

Despite Reda Belahyane receiving a second straight red card for Lazio in the closing stages, the Biancocelesti held firm to secure a crucial clean sheet and all three points.
