Finidi who replaces Jose Peseiro after the expiration of the Portuguese tactician's contract, speak at his unveiling at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Monday.
The former international writes on his X page after the ceremony, thanking the Nigeria Football Federation and Sport Ministry for the opportunity.
He states that with support of Nigerians, he and his team will scale through any hurdles.

My gratitude goes to the NFF, the Ministry of Sports Development, and Nigerians for the faith.
The task is enormous but with the support of Nigerians, we will scale every hurdle and bring glory to our fatherland."
Finidi's immediate task is to get the Super Eagles on track for qualification to the 2026 World Cup with their qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic in June.
The Nigeria team is third in group C of the qualfiers' log with two points after two matches.
