Fifth Edition of the Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Championship begin

The much-anticipated 2025 edition of the Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Championship officially kicks off today at the Osogbo City Stadium, Osun State.

The annual football competition, which celebrates the legacy of the first civilian Governor of Osun State, Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, promises to deliver thrilling matches and vibrant displays of sporting excellence.

The opening day will feature two high-stakes games. At 1 PM, Osogbo Local Government will take on Orolu Local Government in what promises to be an electrifying match to set the tone for the tournament.

Following this, Olorunda LG will battle Irepodun LG at 3 PM, with both teams eager to claim an early advantage in the championship.

This prestigious competition is powered by Hon. Bamidele Salam, the dedicated representative of Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly. Over the years, the tournament has grown to become a platform for showcasing local talent and fostering unity among communities in Osun State.
