African football governing body, CAF is set to conduct draws for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup African qualifiers in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday shortly after the draws for the for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Teams that will participate in the draw includes; Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Central Africa, Congo, DRC, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup will feature the above 24 nations, including four African representatives. At the 2024 edition held in Colombia, Cameroon, Ghana, and Nigeria represented the continent.
While Nigeria reached the Round of 16, Cameroon and Ghana were eliminated in the group stage.
