World football governing body have allegedly warned Nigeria from enforcing the judgement of a high court which nullified the election that brought Amaju Pinnick and his board into the Nigeria Football Federation.

A Jos Federal High Court on Friday ordered the NFF President Pinnick to vacate his position following the annulment of the 2014 election that brought him into power.

The NFF have appealed the judgement while Chris Giwa, who brought the court case, has declared himself the new President and even made some appointments.

However,  FIFA have waded into the crisis after the Pinnick-led NFF called for the world governing body's intervention.

According to an NFF release signed by Ademola Olajire, FIFA's letter issued a subtle threat to ban Nigeria if the crisis is not resolved.

The FIFA letter, attached to the NFF release and signed by Markus Kattner, FIFA Acting Secretary General, claims that the court verdict constitutes interference, especially as the Court of Arbitration for Sport had already ruled on the matter.

A portion of the letter reads: "…in this respect, and first of all, we would Iike to remind you that according t articles 13 and 17 of the FIFA Statutes, all members associations have t0 manage their affairs independently and with no influence from third parties In addition and according to article 68 of the FIFA Statutes, recourse to ordinary courts of Iaw is prohibited unless specifically provided for in the FIFA regulations.

"Furthermore, it is the duty of each member association to ensure that these provisions are implemented by its members and possibly take sanctions against those which fail to respect these obligations.

"In view of the above, the decision of the Federal High Court in Jos, if implemented, would likely be considered a5 an interference in the internal affairs of the NFF and the case would be brought to the highest authorities of FIFA for consideration of sanctions, including the suspension of the NFF…"
