Federico Dimarco returns to Inter training ahead of Udinese match

Federico Dimarco has moved closer to a full return for Inter after recovering from a minor ligament strain in his left knee, suffered during last Saturday’s match against Napoli, according to Goal.

The defender completed the first half of Tuesday’s training session with his team-mates before switching to an individual programme. His injury ruled him out of Inter’s recent Champions League fixture against Real Madrid, which they lost 2-1.

Inter head coach Cristian Chivu will decide whether to include Dimarco in the squad to face Udinese on 14 September after assessing him in the club’s next two training sessions. Carlos Augusto remains the favourite to start in his position.

Meanwhile, Jed Spence trained separately from the rest of the group again. He is expected to rejoin full team training soon and could then make his Inter debut.
