Rangers head coach, Abdul Maikaba said he is “happy” after his side walked over Adamawa United in the Federation Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flying Antelope were drawn against the Northern opponent for the Round of 64 clash in the Federation Cup but the Yola based outfit failed to show up for the game in Abuja

Maikaba speaking ahead of their league game this weekend believes said he is happy about their absence which gives his boys more time to rest.

“I think I am very happy with the situation we find ourselves today,” he told the club’s media.

“Adamawa United failed to show up for this fixture without any communication.

“This situation will, to a great extent, help us in our weekend’s league fixture against Wikki Tourists which is a must-win for us.”

The Coal City club will host Wikki Tourists at the Awka City Stadium on Sunday.
