FC IfeanyiUbah goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has been chosen as captain of the home-based Super Eagles by coach Salisu Yusuf.
Ezenwa's choice as captain was announced on the Super Eagles verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
He will be assisted by Enyimba defender Chima Akas.
"Coach Salisu Yusuf names Ikechukwu Ezenwa as Captain and Chima Akas as Vice-captain of the CHAN team," the Super Eagles handle stated.
The home-based Eagles will be guests to Benin Republic on August 13 for the first leg of the play-offs for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Kenya.
