The Ghana international signed a two-year contract with the option for extending the deal for another year.

Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively revealed that Turkish Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor were in negotiations to sign Boye but Sivasspor swooped at the last minute to seal the deal.

He was unveiled by Sivasspor president Majnun at the club's plush Otyakmuz facility.

The club finished 15th last season- seven points above the relegation mark- on the 18-team table and want to fortify their squad for an improved display this term.

Boye was earlier linked with a return to the French Ligue 1 after training with his former Rennes last month to maintain his fitness before he sorted out his future.

He came close to signing for Ajaccio but the French club could not reach an agreement with Kayseri Erciyesspor.

But the 28-year-old will remain in the Turkish top-flight after making 22 appearances and scoring two goals for relegated Kayseri Erciyesspor.

Boye comes in with a lot of experience after featuring at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
