Ex-Kotoko coach Telat Uzum wants to replace Mas-Ud Dramani as the club’s new coach, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Turkish trainer has sent come-and-get-me plea to the club as they find a replacement for the former Ghana Under-17 female team coach.
The Porcupine Warriors are without a coach following the decision to ask Dramani to proceed on a four months accumulated leave.
Dramani is paying the price for the club’s unflattering start to the Ghana Premier League campaign which sees them lie at a disappointing 10th position on the league table.
Uzum, 51, has never hidden his intention to return to Kumasi to accomplish an ‘unfinished’ business at the club.
“I want to come and coach Kotoko. It’s my desire because I have an unfinished business at the club,’ he told GHANAsoccernet.com from his base in Germany.
“Kotoko is a great club with massive support base and they deserve the best.
“I believe I’m the man to lead this team if I get the opportunity."
He has been on a scouting mission worldwide since he left relegated Ghanaian side Real Tamale United in 2010.
The highly respected tactician coached Kotoko in the 2006-2007 season but left after just a season in charge of the two-time African champions.
Kotoko is on the verge of concluding a deal with David Duncan to replace Dramani but there are others who are clamouring for an expatriate to take over the club.
Uzum holds a UEFA Pro licence certificate.
