Ghana midfielder Seidu Salifu has rejected a trial session at German side Hamburg SV, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old passed a medical at the club this week but refused to undergo a trial session following a late request.

Salifu was initially expected to undergo a medical and sign a straight deal but was surprisingly asked to try out which has been rejected by his Tunisian outfit Club Africain.

Top officials of the Tunisian have told Ghana’s leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com that they will not allow their midfielder to undergo a trial session at the club.

“We had an agreement with Hamburg SV for the player to undergo a medical and then he signs a straight deal but they made a U-turn and requested him to trial out which we object to,” a source told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“That was not the agreement with had. He won’t undergo any trial session with the club.

“It’s either he’s signed on or he returns to our club.”

The former All Stars combative midfielder is expected to return to Tunisia following the standoff.
