EXCLUSIVE: Ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah wins first match in-charge of Al Khartoum SC

Ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah made a winning start to his tenure as trainer of Sudanese side Al Khartoum SC after recording an emphatic win in a friendly on Tuesday evening.

Appiah and his Ghanaian assistant coach Prince Owusu hatched a plan which gave them a 4-1 win against second-tier side Al-Imtidad.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup coach was appointed last month to transform the military owned team in the capital.

Appiah will leave Khartoum on Thursday with his players for a two-week intensive camping exercise.

He has arranged to play four friendly matches against top sides in Egypt before heading back to Sudan for the start of the 2015 Sudanese Premier League.
