SHOCK: Ex-Ghana striker Junior Agogo suffers stroke and hospitalized in England

Ex-Ghana striker Junior Agogo, who is now a fitness trainer in his own gym in England, has shockingly suffered a stroke and he is recovering in a hospital in England, GHANASoccernet.com understands. 

Agogo was rushed to hospital last Thursday night after showing signs of a cerebrovascluar accident which has now been confirmed as the feared illness.

One of the leading newspapers in Bristol, where he played for Bristol Rovers, also confirmed thew worst fears of Ghanaians with  well-wishers taking to Twitter to offer their support to the retired striker and his family.

The 35-year-old was Ghana's poster boy between 2006 and 2009 when he starred for the national.

He became a household name when he led the lines at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations and help Ghana to win bronze on home soil.

The former Zamalek player scored 12 goals in 27 matches.

Agogo played for Bristol Rovers between 2003 to 2006 before moving to Nottingham Forest.

Stroke has normally been associated with the lack of physical activity but his work as a fitness instructors makes fears of the disease worrying.

    I hope the ex-player is not into drugs associated with muscle building some have dangerous side effects.Maybe not the case though.May the Lord be with him
