Ex Ghana defender Anthony Baffoe has been assigned as one of CAF’s General Match Co-ordinators for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 49-year-old has been given oversight responsibility on the Bata venue for the 2015 AFCON which is being staged in Equatorial Guinea.
Baffoe returns to the same grounds where he was assigned to during the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
He was the man in charge when Zambia famously beat Ghana in Bata on their way to Nations Cup glory in 2012.
Baffoe has been working with CAF and FIFA in a similar capacity in their various competitions.
The former Black Stars defender’s star keeps rising with the efficient manner in which he discharges his duties.
He was the man in charge of the 2014 World Cup finals at Rio between Germany and Argentina.
