Jack Grealish will play for Everton again after the club officially confirmed the Manchester City attacking midfielder has joined on loan until the end of the current season.
The 30-year-old England international returns to the Merseyside club after spending the previous campaign at Everton on a temporary deal. The latest agreement gives Grealish another opportunity to continue his career with David Moyes’ side, having already made a significant contribution during his first spell.
Grealish scored two goals and provided six assists in 22 appearances for Everton last season. His progress was interrupted in January, however, when he suffered a serious injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
The new loan means Grealish will remain part of Everton’s squad through to the conclusion of the current campaign. The club’s announcement confirms that he will once again be available to Moyes after recovering from the injury that ended his previous season prematurely.
Grealish joined Everton from Manchester City on loan for the previous campaign and established himself as an important attacking option. Across his 22 matches, he contributed eight goals or assists, including six final passes for team-mates and two goals of his own.
His return also comes with uncertainty over his longer-term future at Manchester City. Grealish’s contract with the Premier League club is due to expire in the middle of next year, meaning the latest agreement covers a significant part of the remaining period of his current deal.
The winger’s estimated transfer value on Transfermarkt is €20m. That figure provides an indication of his current market valuation, although no permanent transfer has been announced as part of the agreement between Manchester City and Everton.
For Everton, the deal brings back a player already familiar with the club and Moyes’ methods. Grealish’s previous loan was limited to 22 appearances before his January injury, but his two goals and six assists demonstrated the creative influence he could offer in the attacking areas.
Manchester City remain the club with which Grealish is contracted, but he will now continue his development and competitive football at Everton. The temporary move was formally confirmed by the Toffees, with the arrangement running until the end of the season.
Grealish’s second spell gives him the chance to rebuild his momentum after an injury-hit period and to add to the contribution he made during his first campaign at the Liverpool-based club.
