It was a day to forget for Everton in the Premier League this weekend as they were comfortable beaten by Premier League title-chasers Chelsea at Goodison Park, much to the disappointed Toffees fans here in the Tavern!

The Toffees are still harbouring ambitions of making the top-six but have some work to do after losing ground on their rivals, with our Everton-mad barman still hopeful his side can make the Europa League come the end of the season.

And if they do bring European football back to Goodison Park, it’s surely going to be a massive pulling factor when it comes to signing players of the summer.

And according to the Sun, Everton are planning a £7million bid for Celtic target Henry Onyekuru, a Nigerian winger who plays his football with KAS Eupen in Belgium.

Onyekuru has been in stunning form for Eupen this season, with Everton considering the young Nigerian hotshot as an ample replacement for long-term injury doubt Yannick Bolasie.

It’s set to be a real fight for his signature though, with Onyekuru being tipped as one of the hottest young prospects in football.
