Etebo nets Penalty in Stoke City’s EFL Cup victory

Oghenekaro Etebo scored a Stoke City’s third penalty in the 5-4 shoot out victory against Leeds United in The Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

Etebo started from the bench and contributed his quota by scoring the third spot kick after being introduced by manager Nathan Jones.

Stoke City scored two first half goals in the 39th and 43rd minutes and were destined for the next round on a presumed easy ride.

Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah started the comeback for Leeds in the 67th minute, and they scored the equaliser with nine minutes left to play to take the game to penalties.

Stoke eventually won 5-4, with Goalkeeper Jack Butland saving a penalty, while Etebo also did well do dispatch his own spot kick into the net.
