Magnificent Ghanaian winger Ernest Asante highlighted his impressive scoring form in the Norwegian Eliteserien by setting up a goal and providing an assist as Stabaek claimed a 4-0 win over new-boys Sandefjord on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old had netted his 5th league goal of the season three minutes into the second-half at the Nadderud Stadion after converting a Yassine El Ghanassy assist.
It was an exact carbon-copy of the goal he scored at Valerenga during the weekend. Ghanassy laid an intelligent carpet-pass to an unmarked Asante who deliriously cut into the box with the instinct of a killer, beat a defender to his ball before sent a piercing low drive past the outstretched keeper for fifth straight goal of the season.
Asante then turned the architect as he set up Adama Diomande to complete his hat-trick on the night.
"It was great to score again and exactly like the goal I scored during the weekend. I'm getting happy with my form," Asante told GHANAsoccernet.com.
He is now second on the scorers chart with five goals, trailing the leader - Søderlund 0f Rosenborg BK, with four goals.
Midfielder Kamal Issah returned to play full throttle.
