Erling Haaland reaches 100 Premier League goals from open play

Manchester City beat newly promoted Ipswich Town 3-0 in the seventh round of the English top flight, with Erling Haaland scoring twice.

The Norway striker’s goals took his Premier League total to 100 when penalties are excluded. He reached that landmark in 139 appearances – faster than any other player in the competition’s history.

Manchester City will face Aston Villa in their next Premier League match.

Haaland has played for Manchester City since the summer of 2022, when he joined from German club Borussia Dortmund.
