Nigerian champions Enyimba  will file a formal complaint with the Confederation of African Football following the inhuman treatment meted out to them by Etoile du Sahel officials in the build-up to their Champions League game on Wednesday.

The Peoples Elephant were badly treated by their hosts, but weathered the storm to progress into the group stages of the competition,  winning 4-3 on penalties after the tie ended on 3-3 aggregate scoreline.

"Enyimba will file a formal letter of complaint to CAF today (Thursday) over the actions of Etoile du Sahel in yesterday's game," media officer of the club, Farriel Allaputa, wrote on his Twitter handle.

"We will not  let our victory overshadow the brutality of Etoile du Sahel. They will pay for what they did."

Meanwhile, players and officals of the Aba giants are expected back home in Nigeria on Saturday.

"We are still in Tunisia at the moment, but we will  back home on Saturday," skipper of the side, Chinedu Udoji, disclosed to Completesportsnigeria.com on Thursday.

"We are still savouring the victory against Etoile du Sahel and also looking forward to the challenges ahead."

It is the first time they will be playing in the group stages since 2011.
