Reports reaching us at Nigeriasoccernet.com indicate that Enyimba head coach, Finidi George is most likely to lead the Super Eagles for the international friendlies against the Black Stars of Ghana and Eagles of Mali later this month.

The Super Eagles head coach opposition has remain vacant since the departure of Jose Peseiro who led the team to a second place during the AFCON 2023 finals played this year.

Although the posisition has been declared vacant with over 100 applications received, the new head coach is will not to be unveiled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) till next month.

However, Finidi, who was one of the assistants to Peseiro, barring any last minute changes, will be in the dugout for the two friendlies according to reports.

The former Nigeria winger led Enyimba to win a record ninth Nigeria Premier Football League title last season.

Nigeria is scheduled to take on Ghana at the Grande de Marrakech on Friday, March 22 before facing Mali four days later at the same venue.
