Endrick ‘wants to stay’ at Real Madrid despite transfer interest, says agent

Endrick’s representative says the forward remains committed to Real Madrid and is not planning to leave the club, despite reported interest from Roma, AC Milan and Man United.

Alan Redmond, Global Head of Football at Roc Nation Sports International, the agency representing Endrick, said the 20-year-old’s priority had always been to remain in Spain.

“In Endrick’s case, he’s always said he wants to stay at Real Madrid, and I’m convinced that this season, when he gets the chance, he’ll score a lot of goals,” Redmond told Italian publication Adnkronos.

Endrick was signed as Real Madrid’s answer to Lamine Yamal, but his time at the club has not developed as expected.

The Brazil forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Lyon, where he produced eight goals and eight assists in 21 games.

However, since returning to Real Madrid, Endrick has made only one appearance. He came on as a substitute for the final four minutes of the club’s 3-2 LaLiga victory over Elche.

That lack of playing time has led to speculation that Endrick could seek a move elsewhere, with Roma, AC Milan and Man United among the clubs reportedly interested.

Redmond confirmed there had been significant interest in the player during the summer but insisted a departure from Real Madrid was not Endrick’s objective.

“I can confirm that there was a lot of interest in him in the summer, from various countries, but his goal was never to leave Spain,” he said.

Redmond also rejected the suggestion that financial considerations would determine Endrick’s next move, saying the player was focused on finding the right sporting opportunity.

“The financial aspect isn’t important; the player evaluates the club’s project. We’re talking about a player with the qualities to be at Real Madridhe just needs opportunities,” he added.

Endrick’s representative said the striker had performed well during his spell in France, although he had subsequently experienced difficulties, including concerns over his physical condition.

“Endrick came from a loan spell at Lyon and played very well in France, then he had some problems, and I think it was also quite frustrating for him not to be at his best physically,” Redmond said.

He maintained that Endrick’s intention had not changed and predicted the player would remain with Real Madrid for the foreseeable future.

“However, the idea has always been to stay in Madrid. We’ll see what happens in the future, but honestly, I think he’ll stay at Real Madrid for a long time. That’s my opinion. I don’t think he’ll move.”
