Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong says Santi Cazorla deserves more acclaim.
Santi Cazorla touched the ball 141 times against Monaco but was unable to help the Gunners score the third goal they needed to qualify for the Champions League quarter finals.
The Spaniard helped Arsenal control the midfield in what was a 2-0 win on the night, with the away side managing 71 per cent possession. A 3-1 first leg win for the Ligue 1 side at The Emirates however meant that Arsenal were eliminated on away goals.
Cazorla's performance saw his efforts hailed by former teammate Emmanuel Frimpong, who used his Twitter account to state that the ex-Malaga man deserves more credit.
"Well done @Arsenal Can't fault you lot for effort ... Goodnight people." he tweeted.
