Emery Hopes Iwobi Recovers For Bournemouth Clash

Arsenal manager Unai Emery hopes to have Alex Iwobi fit to face Bournemouth on Wednesday in the Premier League.

Iwobi limped off in the minute as Arsenal cruised to a 2-0 home win over Southampton on Sunday raising doubt over his availability for the clash against the Cherries.

“I hope it’s only one knock and not a more important injury. I hope he can play Wednesday,” Emery on Iwobi on Arsenal’s official website

Should Iwobi be passed fit the game against Bournemouth will be his 90th Premier League game for the Gunners.

Stephan Lichtsteiner also limped off in the second half of the win but Emery also remains confident the former Juventus wing back will be fit for the midweek clash.

First half goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were enough to hand Arsenal a comfortable home win, and lift the Gunners back into the top four.
